This promotional competition is organised by Foschini Retail Group (Pty) Ltd (registration number 1988/007302/07) (“TFG”).
In these rules, “Promoter” means a person who directly or indirectly promotes, sponsors, organises or conducts the promotional competition, or for whose benefit the promotional competition is promoted, sponsored, organised or conducted, which includes TFG.
This competition is only open to TFG in-store staff members.
All participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of entering the competition and must reside in South Africa.
The Promoter reserves the right to vary, postpone, suspend or cancel the promotional competition, any aspect of the promotional competition and anything related thereto, without notice at any time and for any reason whatsoever that the Promoter deems is reasonable at the time. Should the Promoter, law or any authority cancel this promotional competition, no notice of cancellation shall be required. In such event, all participants and winners waive any rights and acknowledge that they shall have no claim, of any nature whatsoever against the Promoter, its directors, agents or employees as a result of the cancellation.
By entering the promotional competition, participants agree and understand that they may win a prize, but there is no guarantee that they will win a prize.
To qualify for a promotional competition entry, participants must:
create a short in-store video encouraging customers to swipe their TFG Rewards card during their purchase. The message “encourage customers to swipe their rewards card” must be clear and visible in the video. The creative idea is open-ended – staff may choose any fun, safe, and store-appropriate way to deliver the message. Videos should be inspired by the example theme “Use your head”, but teams must adapt the concept to their store environment. (Example: using creative problem-solving with in-store items. Do not replicate unsafe behaviour.) All content must be filmed within the store, during working hours, and must not disrupt trading or compromise customer experience. TFG Rewards may provide a guiding example of the video to be created; and
upload the video to either of the following social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and/or TikTok and tag the Rewards profile or send directly to the Rewards team
There will be 60 (sixty) winners in total - when participants from a particular store are selected as winners, all staff in the store will win a R150.00 (one hundred and fifty rand) Shoprite/Checkers voucher. Depending on the number of staff in each store, the final number of winners may increase (or decrease) and the Promoter will adjust the total number of prizes accordingly.
The winners cannot choose the prize(s) – it will be awarded at the Promoter’s sole discretion.
The Promoter and its sponsors do not accept any responsibility for any entries or prizes that are lost, damaged, unusable or delayed.
The winners will not be entitled to payment, credit or otherwise in the event that they do not claim or utilise the prize to the fullest extent possible.
The prize is not transferable and may not be deferred or exchanged for cash, credit or otherwise.
If any taxes, levies, duties or any charges whatsoever are levied on a prize by any competent authority, the winners will be liable for these and the prize value will not be increased to compensate for such charges.
To the extent that a licence (e.g. driver’s licence), proof of identification or permission (e.g. by a parent/guardian) is required in order to accept or use a prize, the winners must produce such licence, identification and/or permission for inspection by the Promoter prior to receiving the prize. If winners do not or are unable to do so, the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be drawn under the same terms and conditions (for that specific prize).
This promotional competition will start on 02 December 2025 and end at 23h59 on 26 December 2025. No late entries will be accepted.
The winners will be selected by the Promoter’s representatives, and the selection will be overseen by an independent accountant/auditor/attorney. Winners will be announced each Friday for the competition duration.
The respective winners will be notified by their store manager after each draw. If the Promoter is not able to contact winners, or the winners do not provide the Promoter with relevant and correct information timeously, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be re-drawn (for that specific prize). The decision of the Promoter as to the winners are final and no correspondence will be entered into. After notification as set out in this clause, the winners may be announced on TFG’s relevant social media platforms.
The Promoter reserves the right to remove any posts or entries on social media that it deems spam; offensive; political; not in line with the community guidelines of the relevant social media channel; not in line with the Promoter’s values or an infringement of a third party’s intellectual property.
By entering this promotional competition and as condition to receive the prize, participants:
consent to the processing of their personal information by the Promoter(s) and its service providers, but only insofar that it is necessary to give effect to the promotional competition, for example to view the entries, select and announce the winners and deliver the prizes. The winners will be given the opportunity to consent to further processing of their personal information;
waive their moral rights and grant the Promoter exclusive, unlimited, perpetual and free of charge copyright and usage (in any territory where the Promoter trades), in all media forms of all material, text and intellectual property created and/or published/posted by the participants in the submission of their competition entry. The Promoter will be entitled to use and edit the intellectual property in any manner and in its sole discretion, for an indefinite period of time and in any territory where it trades. Participants will not during or after the closing date of the promotional competition dispute or question the copyright and usage by the Promoter;
waive any right to demand royalties, usage fees or any other form of compensation or payment for the use of intellectual property in the participant’s entry; and
should they be selected as winners, agree to sign an acknowledgment of receipt form in exchange for the prize.
By accepting a prize or by entering this promotional competition, participants hereby indemnify the Promoter and the relevant social media channels against any damage or losses of any nature whatsoever that the participants may suffer arising from this promotional competition and the prizes, including consequential damages and economic loss.
The winners may be requested to endorse, promote and advertise any of the goods and services of the Promoter and will not unreasonably withhold their consent.
Participants will be deemed to have accepted these promotional competition rules by entering the promotional competition. Failure to comply with these rules, or the terms of acceptance of a prize will be deemed to be a rejection of the prize and the winners will then be disqualified from receiving the prize.
This promotional competition is not organised, sponsored, endorsed or promoted by any social media channel.
